GDC TRYOUTS ARE BACK! 🚨

Come to clinics this coming week on September 2nd and 4th to get familiar with the dance styles and learn the tryout routines! We will be teaching Bollywood, classical, southie, and hip hop. 🙌 You are not required to attend both clinics, but are more than welcome to join us for both. You are required to try out for at least 1 dance style but two are encouraged. 🕺🕺

When she’s not got the computer open, you’ll find her hiking away up some hill or mountain. ⛰️ 🥾 We are stoked to have Shreya join us as our social chair and we can’t wait to see what social events she has planned for us this year. 🔷 🔶

Besides listening to Bruno Mars hit singles, she loves going to Lion most Fridays where she unleashes her inner party animal in and out. 🕺🕺We are super thrilled to have Smira join the head choreo team and see what moves she comes up with throughout the year alongside Rozanne and the rest of the choreo team. 🔶🔷

She’s an upcoming senior majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a double minor in Child Health and Well-Being and Business, now that’s a lot! 🗣️🗣️Her favorite study (or self-reflection) spot became 3rd floor Grainger Library after she got banned from Lion for 6 months and was forced to take that up for her nightly 10pm to 2 am shift (imagine the amount of fomo she felt poor girl) But just like Anika & Ann, she also likes to settle for Bangkok Thai after a long day of classes and grind 🍜. When she’s not yelling out “Again” at practice for the 20th time in a row, you can find her snuggled up watching Rom Coms from the comfort of her bed 🎬. Outside of dance, she doesn’t really have a life besides maybe a hike, baking, and hanging out with her friends (idk if she does). Her favorite dance styles to choreo are Classical and Bhangra but this year we’ll see a new side of her as president of GDC. We can’t wait to witness your leadership and all that you achieve throughout the year and hopefully not lose your sanity! 🔷🔶

Our two-in-one author and dancer loves to read books, specifically fantasy and romance novels, and write her own short stories in her free time while studying at the Law Library where she gets most of her work complete. An avid caffeine addict, she can’t go a day without her freshly brewed coffee to fuel her up for the day, which makes sense as her favorite place on campus is Espresso Royale! 🤪☕️ (Peep her viral TikTok on Espresso Royale) Besides coffee though, she’s just like our senior advisor when it comes to food places. Bangkok Thai is her go-to place to eat when she’s not cooking food at her apartment or eating leftovers from the day before. Her favorite movie is Hum Tum, an absolute classic, and her favorite dance style is Garba 🕺(now that’s a new one). We can’t wait to see Anika in action as our upcoming GDC internal president after her amazing stint as our show coordinator last year. Upwards and Onwards! 🔶🔷

She’s an upcoming Senior majoring in Accounting & Information Systems. 🧾💵 With a knack of editing most of her texts right after sending them 🤦‍♀️, she’s been our petite in-built bhangra queen and choreography expert for all four years of college (talk about commitment). After grinding her Accy assignments all day at Grainger Library, she loves to wind down and grab food from her favorite place, Bangkok Thai. 🍜When she’s free on the weekends, she loves to watch TV shows and movies with her favorite being Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara though she doesn’t mind Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani either. We are super thrilled to have Ann back with us for her final year as an advisor for GDC and we can’t wait to see everything you accomplish throughout the year but most importantly performing on campus with your crew! 🔷🔶
